SWM is nominally an Italian brand founded in 1971, but has been owned and produced by the Chinese group Shineray since 2014 — a similar ownership pattern to MG. Active in Romania since 2025 through the New Car Trading network, it offers rugged, off-road-leaning SUVs: the G03F, G01 PRO, G05, G03 EDi and the X30 L EV.
